Build story

Tacoma, WA

I built this car by myself over 3 years and counting. All inside a 2 car garage, paint and all. I built the engine, trans etc. A real knuckle busting ground up resto mod. I have literally thousands of pictures and videos of every step of the way. Really hard to put it in words or so few pictures. There’s so many details to talk about. From the first snapped off bolt on disassembly to smashing the throttle and spoiling the turbo, it’s been a wild ride.

Nothing on the car was plug and play nor bolt on ready. I had to modify and built everything to fit. I learned how to do all this as I went. I surely don’t do it for a living lol. 2 steps forward, 3 steps backward was the moto.

I made the electrical harness for the swap by gutting an entire 2008 WRX and stripping it down. Built the WRX trans with a reversed R/P so now it’s 5 speeds forward instead of backwards (engine sits 180 out from factory).

My family let me spend countless days and nights getting this car figured out. It was a dream build of mine from when I was a kid and I finally got to a point in my life I could afford to do it.

Thank you for looking! I know it’s not American Muscle, but it sure was fun to build. It taught me what I needed to learn before I dive into a slammed C10 twin turbo build some day lol. (More pipe dreams)
