Suspension and chassis: The body is on a 2003 s10 extended cab short box frame. It has air lift performance d2500 bags in the front and d2600 bags in the rear for the air ride. The frame was cut to shortened the wheelbase from 122" to 118" and while I had the frame cut I z ed the rear 2.75 inches. I then also cut the front frame rails right behind the front suspension and z ed that 2.5 inches. With the air ride and z ed frame the frame lays on the ground. and ride Hight can be anywhere from 1 to 8 inches off the ground. It also has a rear axle out of a 1999 s10 blazer 4x4 to get the extra 4 inches of widths so I did not have to tub it.
Engine and Transmission: It has a newly built 350 Chevrolet that is bored 0.040 over, 906 vortec heads with heavy springs, custom ground Erson cam, Edelbrock RPM performer intake manifold, and a holley quick fuel 680cfm carb. The transmission is a th350 with a BM shift kit and 2000rpm stall converter.
Body: the patina/paint is 100% all original and doesn’t have a clear coat. The rear fenders where widened 2.25 inches to allow the 10 inch wide rear tires to fit in them. the rear fenders where also raised up 1.5 inches to be able to have a 28 inch tall tire inside without hitting aired out.

Build story

This build started almost 4 years ago when I was 15 years old. I had helped my dad with building his past trucks and I wanted one for myself for when I turned 16 and got my license. I found this truck just a few miles away from my house. It had been sitting in the back of a pasture for the last 15 20 years(long enough for a 2" tree to grow up through the box.) last registered in the 60s. Once it was home it was time to clean the years of rat and mice out then come up with an idea. I was on a very tight budget as my parents would support me along as I paid for it all and did the work on it. So I finally decided on what the truck was going to look like. I was working my summer jobs and coming home and doing some patch panels on the box while i was looking for parts on craigslist while saving some money. I found a truck that I could pull the engine on and My dad gave me the transmission. then found the s10 frame. I then had to research air ride and how to do it. I learned to weld, fabricate, design, and wire all on this truck. There where Multiple screw ups and do over and hard lessons learned on this truck. But I finished it a month after I turned 17. The truck had overheating problems because the core support was so small the stock or big enough radiator wouldn’t fit. So with 184 miles on it leaving a car show the engine overheated and blew a head gasket. I found another donner truck and put that engine in and had been running that engine for the last year and a half till this past winter i had an engines overhauling class in college. I rebuilt the original 350 that blew the head gasket. Now once I’m back home for the summer I plan to daily drive it and keep having fun with it laying frame and throwing sparks with it.
