Pretty original just added a lot of storage. There is never enough storage on a road trip but the roof rack helps!
Build story
I got the bus about a year ago from some friends Brett and Deborah. I told them I dreamed of traveling the country in a VW bus and they wanted to help make it happen.
All of the woodwork was already done the mechanical just needed to be refreshed.
Was having some hard starting issues so I pulled the motor apart and cleaned it all up and painted it for Horsepower gains.
In the process I noticed the headbolts were loose and I was loosing compression between the jugs and the head. I torqued everything down and she was back on the road.
I have taken Aunt sheila on a few trips the longest being over 700 miles round trip.
She has left me stranded one time when my distributor insides come unstowed.
Slapped a new distributor with a vacuum advance and have not regretted leaving the points behind.
Im hoping to leave Arkansas to explore the Western US starting spring of 2022.
I plan to live out of her for 9 months or so while diggin up old cars across the country and see the beautiful country I call home.
