Build story

Luke purchased this car a couple of years ago as he always wanted a Hilux of this shape, it was bought with a blow motor and a torn off tray. We fixed it and he used it as a daily driver with a V6 3.8L for a while. After 3 blown V6's we decided to make it more reliable with a V8 swap. The entire build was done on a very tight budget and timeline, everything was either built from scrap metal or scrap parts found in bins. We did everything from an engine "refresh" to swapping the output shaft of the automatic (which required a full teardown) to suit the transfers; all in Luke's carport. This build was always just about having as much fun as possible on the tightest budget we could manage (even the white couch we had bolted to the back was found dumped on the side of the road) . It's given us endless hours of fun while building and a few minutes of pure ecstasy while driving.
