Build story

“Stan” was rescued after being found rotting away in a horse pasture when I was 15 1/2 years old. A father daughter project to start, we restored new life to at least make him turn on - eventually. Heavily addicted to ether, the car was somewhat reliable. Fast forward 15+ years and that car is still by my side, slowly but surely becoming better maintained and more reliable. Thanks to my husband’s help and dedication, as well as an EFI conversion, Stan is now recovering from his reliance on performance enhancements and can now dependably start. Better yet, he can even stop (no more intersection jumping for this girl!)

Next, we will be looking to restore him to his Factree color of dark moss green and give him the extra gear he so desperately deserves (three on the floor does the trick, but not without some complaints). It’s my first car that will never leave my side - no matter how much of a temperamental bastard he is along the way.
