Factory AMC 304 swapped to AMC 360, Holley sniper EFI, NP 435 (4 speed W/ granny low 1st)with an Dana 300 T-case, it’s register as a 42 to get around the California smog BS, 33” BFG KM3s at all four corners, and glass packs that dump right behind the doors.
Build story
It was a high school dream vehicle for me so after I graduated in 2018 I stared saving. The Jeep came from a cousin who gave me a good price on it. When I picked it up it ran but needed a carb and a tune up. Shortly after I got it to fire up everything wend down hill. The engine was junk, the distributer ate the cam gear. So I pulled the engine apart and found rod and main herring that were cooked. What I ended up doing was getting a 360 and trans from a family friend in trade for labor on his property. I also reviewed it with a Painless kit. Now I have a running driving never ending project!
