Build story
I wanted to build a barstool racer, but couldnt find any tire/wheels cheaply. Walking home after work one day, I found a mountain bike tire, next day near that place found a car spare tire...With that I decided to use that and build a bike.... \r
At the time, I used to work in a small machine shop, and the boss went out for spring break, he left the shop to me to do what ever. I used some scrap material left over from a job we were doing. Started planning and building a frame with out a jig, modeled out on measurements I liked sitting on an office chair with a couple of tape measures and rulers. \r
After a week I managed to get a roller done... \r
I had little money to spend and had been collecting and small buying for a while.... \r

-I did all the fitting and welding.\r
-All parts except the drive train components(chains,sprockets,bearings, wheels, engine, brakes ect), was made my me.\r
-I milled my own shafts, made my own wheel and brake hubs(before I knew I could have bought them, So alot of work there).\r
-Most other pieces are found or scrap... \r
-Chain guard is recycled rod from wire election pickets. \r
-Pegs/bar ends are rail spikes, I traded some stuff for. \r
-Seat cushion is a garden kneeling. Cover material is from an office chair I found in the alley. \r
-Fender, is a lid off of a Czech military surplus ammo cans.(had it left around from shooting it all.) \r
-Kick stand is a piece of rebar from the 30's( so Ive been told) and the foot is a head of a badly rusted rail spike welded to it. \r
-Foot Brake(clutch brake) lever a is a car jack crank, with a connecting chain from a truckers broken load binder. \r
-Rear brake disc is a large carbon steel sprocket. \r
-Exhaust is found EMT tubing .\r
-Custom intake, rad hose with custom adapters for carb and filter.\r

-212cc 7hp Honda clone engine. \r
-Right side drive with a tensioning jackshaft. -Centrifugal clutch,7:1 ratio \r
-Pillow block bearings for live rear axle. \r
-Pillow block bearings for jackshaft. \r
-Car spare tire, from a '96 Chrysler leBaron\r
-Paint........ It paints itself when it rains...(Red oxide primer). \r

Overall took me 3 years, off and on to finish it. \r
Finished in 2011\r
Maybe spent $400 total.\r
I go to car shows all the time that I am able to. \r
Won a trophie at a show aswell.. \r

Have upgraded the braking, changed a few things since I "finished"... Its an evolving project over the years, with a few minor changes... but the main part of it hasnt changed..\r
