Build story

I started with a stock 1966 F100 longbed with a 300(4.9L) inline six with a three on the tree.\r
Soon after getting it I decided to throw the Twin I-Beams in the trash and threw in some more modern suspension with the front sub-frame and all attached components from a 2011 Crown Vic. I did a axle flip on the 9" rear end to get a nice ride height.\r
After getting some more handling in it and some safety in the way of modern brakes, I needed more power. I slapped a turbo and fuel injection on the old 300 and turned up the boost.\r
After a few years of having fun with it, it saw a boost spike and snapped a rod. I knew I wanted to keep it a straight six truck but I also wanted to be able to get some BIG power out of it and get parts easily here in the states and have a huge aftermarket.\r
The 2JZ was the only choice and a choice I was happy to make.\r
I picked up a 2JZ-GTE from an Aristo and a AR5 5 Speed from a Pontiac Solstice. Not long after I had it all in the truck and running.\r
I wanted to keep the uniqueness of the truck going so when it came time to replace the leaky old 9" I decided to go IRS. I picked up a complete 2017 Mustang GT Track Pack IRS with the 3.73 Torsen and crammed it under the bed.\r
\r
I love this truck and how stupid it is and how much it makes not only me happy but other people as well. Seeing people realize what is going on under the hood is the best.
