Build story
This is my 1985 toyota tercel wagon. I bought the car at the beginning of the year for $400 with a rod knock. the previous owner ran the car out of oil causing it to spin the #3 connecting rod bearing. After using a bore scope at my work and seeing that the engine still had crosshatches in the bore I decided rebuilding the original engine was my best option. The engine got a new crankshaft, pistons and rings, all new gaskets, a new oil pump, exhaust valves, all 4 belts on the engine were replaced, new alternator, water pump, radiator, all new coolant hoses, A/C compressor, yes the car was equipped with factory A/C and I fixed it, in fact it is still using r12. so far I have done about 1500 miles since the overhaul problem free. It has not burned or leaked a drop of oil, that is unheard of for a 80s toyota.
