Build story
First off, this vehicle has just over 171000 km from new. What is it? Its a International Scout but not any ordinary Scout. This is a rare Midas edition. Well, what does that mean? In short its a factory built shaggin wagon. It was ordered with this custom interior, that includes: Rotating front bucket seats, digital clock, rear cooler console, sunroofs, custom lacquer graphics, and the shag carpet. Other options on the truck are the original V345 IH engine, with automatic transmission, two speed transfer case and 3.07 posi trac rear differential. Factory a/c with AM/FM/ 8 track radio head. I've had this Scout just short of two years ago and have been slowly restoring back to original. It just received a new paint job on the lower part of the body after much new steel has been added. I have gone to great lengths to keep the Scout in original condition, down to restoring the side graphics that are part of the Midas package with a airbrush. When I purchased it looked largely the way it does now, but everything below the stripe was red primer and rust pits.
