Build story
The how is simple: I write for BangShift.com and a lot of the build was done in-house by BFNY Performance in Cleveland, Ohio. The why is what's trickier: the 300C, affectionately known as "Angry Grandpa", is a testament to what a good all-around machine can actually be. The Chrysler has been a daily-driver for me since early 2013, when I bought it at a fire-sale price because of the color. It's run a best of 13.16@105.61 in the quarter (stock time was 14.1@81 MPH), still knocks down reasonable fuel mileage, and has been as reliable as an anvil. It still seats four adults properly, has a trunk you could sleep in, and has put up with beating after beating with grace. It's been drag raced, road raced, has gone land speed racing and has carved up some of the best canyon roads Arizona has to offer. All in a car that looks like it should be in the church parking lot on Wednesday nights.
