2020 Valuation Report\r
\r
The car presents in excellent condition as is to be expected from this enthusiast owner who has displayed several of his vehicles in the Ellerslie Inter-marque Concours Event.\r
For a long time, these later Z cars were largely overlooked while interest was largely centred on the earlier 240/260 versions however that view has started to be modified somewhat as the cars begin to gain traction with more generation 2 classic car enthusiasts. \r
This is a factory stock vehicle and it remains unmolested in any way.The Azure blue paintwork looks flawless with perfectly acceptable shut lines and panel gaps being present. There are no signs of any damage at all that I can see. The distinctive aero deck rear spoiler really suits the car and combined with the factory option BBS Multispoke alloy wheels, contributes to a great overall stance. The minimal bright work and badging are in excellent condition as are the glass windows, the headlights and auxiliary lighting and the taillight cluster. The car is unusual in that it is a genuine 2-x seater rather than the more common 2 + 2 version.\r
The shots of the interior once again show a well-cared for, concours - standard car in excellent condition. The well-bolstered blue cloth seats appear clean with no signs of excessive wear or damage showing. Carpets, door cards, and hood lining also appear to be “as new”. \r
\r
The stock dash and instrumentation look to be correct and clear as do the switches and other cockpit placements. A wide centre console houses the manual transmission lever and there appears to be a factory sound system installed.\r
The engine bay is also immaculate and displays the twin turbo V6 unit at its best. My understanding is that the cars’ mechanicals are in good condition with no issues at all being advised – as would be expected with the relatively modest mileage that the car has covered.\r
The Z32 300ZX enjoys a very good reputation largely because it is a relatively ‘young’ classic. Being more modern, the performance and reliability remains good however as it was a car that fully embraced electronics, some problems can be difficult to sort.\r
Prices have stepped up in the US as the car is now 25 years old and thus can be legally imported into that market.\r
There are always a number of cars being advertised for sale both here and overseas however few indeed would go anywhere near to matching the condition of this car.
