Why well let's be honest who wants a 24 year old jap import lancer that's just a 1.5L standard crap box.... I'll tell you nobody, that's who. So decided to to do the engine conversion to the 1.6L 4g92 MIVEC the engine from the 96' Lancer MR. Provides more beans and is a reliable engine.\r

All mods done in the back garden of a friends house with just your basic tools. The base model lancer and the MR of the same year is barely if any differences so the conversion was bolt in and because both cars were Japanese imports there was no need to mess around with the looms etc, it all just fit.
