Flatbed and rims are pretty much the only things that aren’t ford but I swapped out parts and pieces from other ford trucks around the same decade
Build story
Well I’m 16 and I’m just getting into actually buying and fixing vehicles then eventually flipping them for a profit but I bought my first truck 1970 f100 for 500 and fixed it up in about 3 weeks and I put about 200 into it then sold it for 1100 then I used that money to buy my 1979 f150 300 inline 6 with a 4 speed 4x4 I mainly bought the truck since it was non runner for 900 and I always wanted a 79 f150 I wanted something that I could learn on while working on it that but it had a rebuilt motor in it the radiator was cracked so I put in a new one and I also wanted a truck that I could afford with gas since a guys still 16 he’s not making a whole lot and I’ve been trying to build this truck out of my pocket I redid the interior since the guy before wood screwed everything together with small bits of wood and he completely messed up the wiring and cut out the rear end to also put in 90s Chevy taillights that never were put in right or hooked up so I bought the truck from the money of my last one and had a little bit more of money saved up so I bought a flatbed, a lot of parts for the interior from a junkyard and different year dentside fords I fixed the rust patches and sanded it all down and bondoed the dents then primered it in the driveway. I’ve done everything myself and I’ve gotten to know my way around then a bit and I’m going to get a different bumper to fit my grill guard I got on Facebook market place my truck is pretty much sponsored by Craigslist Facebook and local junkyards the truck is pretty much my pride and joy that I’ve been building in the driveway that’s I’ve been building how I would want to build it using the money I have and earned I just need to wait until I get alittle back in my pocket to buy paint then pay my friend to rent his shop so I can paint it but so far with the purchase of the truck and flatbed and all the little pieces added it totals to about 2000 dollars
