My dad grew up with several Scouts and got me into loving them. For this one mostly complete in about 2008, drove it to school, and once I started college we started restoring it. The Scout 80's are odd little trucks, with an international 304 cut in half to make a 152ci slant 4. Paired with a 3sp manual trans and 2sp transfercase, they will go anywhere, just not very fast. We rolled it off the trailer at its first car show, days after finishing it, and it promptly earned its keep when we buried the truck and trailer at the other end of the grounds.\r
This is the latest in a slew of Scouts we have owned and drove, totalling 6 ranging from 1962 to a last year production 1980 with the SD33T Nissan diesel.
