Build story

I’ve always had a spot for these cars growing up. My father had two “76” cordobas, one he bought for $500 at a shady dealer & one he bought at 7-11 for $100 over a gallon of milk. Both were practically indestructible. The first one toppled a 2ft round tree by a miscalculation of my sister learning to drive, nothing a chain and another tree didn’t fix & was sold to a fiend of the family & eventually put down. I was gifted the other one after it was no longer conducive to drive (rust belt). A tree decided to fall on that one in the back yard just before I got my license. Bought another “77” Cordoba which supposedly had a 440 in it (it did not) and I proceeded to beat a knock into it. A little motor honey and it drove daily for another year. Just long enough to be taken out by one of those crappy late 90’s Chevy luminas. (Bent frame, still drove). Parted it out to a buddy with a “78” Magnum, Which I was in when that one was totaled by him. (Smashed front clip, still drove) I found this one a while back for $1000 or $1200 if the new stereo system was left in it. I opted to splurge and get the system with it, why not. Two transmissions, two rear axles, 4 carbs, and a motor gasket kit later & its still kickin, no thanks to the tree that almost fell on it at Chrysler Carlisle (3ft away) I lent my tires to a 71 Camaro for inspection so I have the old winter rims from a new mustang on it at the moment. So that’s about it, I’m sure I forgot all kinds of s#*t that I’ll probably remember after I send this but that’s how things go.\r

P.S. my 77 mercury Wagon photo is there just because it hilarious. Poor quad. (Also a beast)
