Build story

I found this car, abandoned, and shot at! in an barn used for airsoft tournaments. It was a prop, and aside from the smashed windows and rear rusted panels the shell was in perfect condition. I paid £50 for it and dragged it home. \r
\r
I've done almost everything myself, with professionals taking over where appropriate (cylinder head, powder coating) \r
\r
The entire project was kind of like my final exam on car building, as I've been tinkering with cars since age 14 when I inherited a ford escort from my great aunt. Each car I've owned has always been 'improved' but this is the culmination of everything I've learnt so far in my life. \r
\r
It's taken me two years, and 90% of the work was done outside in the British summer... which is probably why its taken so long! I used whatever I had to hand at the time, and always relied upon a wealth of forums for help with both the MR2 side, and the Honda side. \r
\r
It's still not complete, but I use it every day to get to work, and that Honda reliability has not let me down. Next on my list is the interior, and with Covid 19 keeping me inside, I'm going to attempt a full re trim on my own!
