Build story
I have built many different lawn mowers, mostly pulley swap or mudding mowers. When I was given this Jacobsen 1650, It was the perfect platform for a car engine swap because it had a tube steel frame instead of formed sheet metal; The tubular frame made modifications to fit the car engine much easier.\r
I had the donor car (a 2003 Chevy Tracker), the equipment, and the lawn tractor to build it, so the reasoning was more because I can, although I used this project as my high school senior project. The initial investment into the project totaled less than $200, as I reused as much as I could from the mower, the donor car, and the scrap pile.
