Bought car as an unfinished project in 2011. It had most of a newer interior, brightwork, hacked wiring, most things electrical not working. Original R16 engine and trans were gone, but it came with the T5. In my parents driveway under a car port I swapped in a junkyard VG30E out of a 1991 Nissan Maxima SE, did required maintenance, and mated it to the T5(which grinds after a while) Redid most of the wiring, got the gauges working, added a center console, lights, safety equipment, lots of small pieces to make it look factory but as a restomod. Car currently has been sitting for a few months as the custom radiator broke off the brackets again, it is currently wedged in place. I need to fabricate custom brackets for the crossflow Scirocco radiator I plan to put in it but don't have a welder, and also weld the exhaust tubing back together. The fabricator welded the exhaust into one piece, so I had to cut it to get it off and engine back out.
