Build story
Back in October a friend of mine bought this iconic car in my city - the Super Trooper. The original owner crashed it and sold it for $600. It was a 2005 Vic with a lightbar. It was a total piece though, there were cutouts in the rear seat so you could hear the subs better, had codes for a miss, ABS failure, the whole 9 yards. They had me, the resident electrical guy, wire up the lightbar since the original owner took the controller out. I assume he didn't want a bunch of 17 year olds having a full working cop car. After some testing I got the lightbar to work on their car. My friend's parents hated it and they made him sell it. He only had it for about a month and a half. He ended up selling it to a youtuber by the name of Fishing with Flair - if you type his name and cop car into youtube you'll find it.\r

That whole foray got me into cars in the first place, and if it wasn't for my friends, I wouldn't be a car guy today. I needed a car anyways so I saved up some money from work and bought a cheap Crown Vic.\r

We have this event at our school where all the seniors ride their bike/outlandish vehicle to school on one of the last days of the year. Last year there was a gokart and a tractor among tons of bikes and razor scooters. I wanted to bring the police car, fully kitted out with the lights and siren and all, to the event. Obviously that's been cancelled which was really sad for me since I'm a senior and it was my last chance to have some fun. The car has been my baby since December 31st and I've loved almost every minute of it - just not the time the dash had a CAN short and I had to spend 5 hours debugging it. It's all been worth it though. I get a lot of looks from people and it brightens people's day when I say something stupid over the PA.
