Build story

my name is matt. im from long island, new york. this car is very special to me. ive owned the car since im 12 years old. im turning 19 this may. i have done all of the things listed plus much more with the help of my father and other friends guiding me to learn a lot as i aged. everything done to the car was payed for myself, and all the work was done myself including bodywork. no, the car is not perfect and has its issues, but its my baby. \r
\r
i bought this car in early january of 2013 for 1500 dollars. i saved all my birthday and christmas money just hoping for something to come up, and it it did. with a blown tranny and many other problems the car was just overall falling apart. with a lot of time, some money and motivation the car is extremely reliable and a ton of fun! the car has made it to our place upstate twice, which is 4 hours there from my home here on long island. the car is getting to where i want it to be drivetrain wise, and next is cosmetics.\r
\r
this car holds a lot of memories, as its the car i learned everything on. i learned to do everything from brakes, to front end work, engine work, tranny work and diff work. i wouldnt trade the car for the world, even though it isnt the prettiest thing in the world. i love the car to death, and hope to continue the build as more money comes in with age(while also saving, lol!) \r
\r
next i plan to either build a 383 or a 302dz short block to put in the car for the summer. which one is hard to choose, but itll have to be decided soon. corbeau seats, harness bar, traction bars, subframe connectors, front and rear sway bar, fitech fuel injection and a t56 magnum to come in the near future! thanks for your time.
