Errr. I made the choke cable out of stainless steel.....

Build story

My father bought the car in about 1997. In pieces from the estate of a deceased gentleman. He didn't tell his then wife, so we had to hide the car. By about 2010 and with a different 'wife' he started restoring the car, and rebuilt the chassis and running gear. He made a start stripping the paint off the body.\r
He passed away 4 years ago as a result of the 'Swine Flu' (sound familiar!) and I inherited the car, still in many pieces.\r
After about 12 months I got fed up of tripping over parts and decided to assemble. This quickly changed to get it running and driving, which also changed to roadworthy.\r
Between April and August 2018 I got the car running and driving. I found 99.9% of the parts I needed in the boxes or in my own spares - (I have another 3 of these cars.). No welding was carried out!. The body is in terrible condition. I simply painted it in satin black paint (non structural).\r
\r
The wiring is just a wire to the ignition, and one for the horn (all that is required by law in the UK for a car of this age to be roadworthy in daylight).\r
\r
I've been improving it ever since (still not wired), It is currently in a friends shed 7 mile away, I hope to see it once our lockdown finishes!.
