Build story

I think Zip Ties is gonna like this one a lot! It’s a 1989 Ford F-250 with the 7.3 idi diesel. It started its life as a 2wd automatic with the e4od 4 speed with 162,000 when I bought it. The day I went to look at the truck all the paint had chipped off, the windows wouldn’t roll up, the tires were showing cords, and it wouldn’t go into 4 gear while you were driving, I bought it same day for 2k. The first thing i did to it was fix the windows and cut the exhaust (obviously.) then I bought a 20 year old used ATS 088 turbo kit off of Facebook marketplace for $100, slapped that puppy on and life was good for about a month until the transmission blew up. So I bought a 1988 Ford F-250 7.3 idi 4wd with the zf5 5 speed off my buddy for $100, it was in worse shape in my truck so I decided to take the zf5 and the BW1356 transfer case out of that truck and put it in mine. It took me a total of 2 weeks to pull my trans out and put the new one in. Everything bolted right up and went by super smooth. A couple months later I decided to make a single stack out of my bed, so I bought 10 feet of 4 inch exhaust pipe and went to work! (To top it off I put a tractor flap on it for extra cool points.) I ran it like that for 6 months until I found a dual stack kit that came with 8 inch stacks off a kenworth for $100, so naturally I had to have it, I installed those and rolled with it like that until I bought new 33 inch tires and a leveling kit, even though I still have the 2wd axle and haven’t installed a 4wd axle yet. That’s how it’s running right now but I’m not finished with her yet! My plans for the future are a cummins swap and a flatbed to top er’ off. I hope you consider taking a look at my vehicle as I love it very much!
