Edelbrock 1406 carb, summit sum6900 cam+lifter set, comp cams valve springs, flex fan to keep it cool while I’m doing truck things with it, Richmond lock-rite rear locker, 4x4 posilok cable front axle disconnect, and of course my diy front bumper and brush guard I’m so proud of.
Build story
I came across this truck last spring on Craigslist when I desperately needed something to replace my ailing rusted out v8 swapped Dakota. I test drove it, fell in love and bought it. It was literally all original when I got it good old 318 2 barrel with all the smog stuff. It only had 60k original miles so most of the parts were 35 years old. Since then it’s been a journey from a finicky, gutless old truck to a dependable go-anywhere, do anything machine. I still can’t believe how solid the frame is for being an Eastern Pennsylvania truck it’s whole life. It spend most of its life on a farm about an hour from where I live, which explains why the only strait body panels are the hood and roof :) .
