I bought this car from my mom's bosses brother back in the very beginning of 2020. I wanted to buy this project car because I remember seeing it for the first time 10 years ago, and it struck me how beautiful it looked from up close and personal in the shade. This vehicle was originally repossessed back in the late 1980s, and when the previous owner bought it, he had to replace the clutch (the original owner probably had too much fun before the car was taken away) on March of 1989. The vehicle had 53k miles 30 years ago, and it was driven for around 6k miles, and it sat in their private scrapyard since the late 1990s. Me and my dad brought the truck and trailer to pick it up, paid the previous owner the cash I offered (which was $500) and he believes that the fuel injector was clogged when he told me that day. Well after further upon inspection and repairs when we got the vehicle home, turned out the fuel pump was bad, and the injector was somewhat clogged, but it turned out to be easy to get it running after a bad fuel pump. I've had this vehicle for almost 5 months and I am close to having it on the road after around 20 years. I am pleased to share this with you guys and I hope it shows that I appreciate this project a lot.
