Build story
I picked the truck up last summer and 7 days later drove in the mineral point parade.\r
The truck was pulled from a barn about a month before I picked it up. It hadn’t seen daylight since 1995.\r
The day of the parade I put a sending unit in the gas tank. It had a gas can ratchet strapped to the front of the truck for about 50 miles. “Mint”\r
I then had to change out the driveshaft or I should say have one built because she’d rattle pretty good over 60.\r
It has a 1976-1982 Chevy 305 drivetrain with a th350 pushing.\r
The driveshaft was welded up by the 15 year old kid 25 years ago. Definitely a farm kid. Welds were mint!\r
Over this last winter I wanted the cab to be mint so I spent 4 months of almost every day working on patching holes and welding in new metal.\r
All work and paint was done in my little one car garage.\r
There were a couple times where my house smelled like paint and or melting metal.
