New hotchkiss torsion bars. New skyjacker shocks. put a 67 fury iii 383 because my numbers 383 spun a bearing and this thing needs to be on the road. Street sign floor boards mostly original paint but the renders wer rotten so just covered that rot with good ol fashioned rattle can. 3 fuel filters in a row because who knows what's in the tank.

Build story

My pop had a 70 challenger r/t s/e as his first car he made a deal with a waitress that had the car originally. Working as a dishwasher he gave her $100 a week for for 6 months. He watched her drive it everyday as he was giving her his entire pay check. (Literally he said he ate on a couple bucks a week and walked everywhere which at the time he was only going to work. He sold it for $500 in the 80s. So since I was a kid that was the car I would own and never get rid of. Well i found a pile that had some emblems on it that happen to say challenger. Couldn't afford an r/t but I got the small window se. And of course a mopar big block. This thing is rusted but most of the structural point are solid. Frame rails(flattens hand and twists back and forth) those are ehhh. Rattle can fixed all of that though you can barely see the holes now. \r
Anyway I got the car with a seized motor took 3 months of patience to get it unseized using every break loose and atf and marvels and diesel fuel to get it and hey it unseized. So I moved on putting signs as my floors and getting matching wheels and tires. Fixing some body patches just for the motor to seize again. Being the broke ass I am I chose to just save the numbers motor and buy something I could slip in for cheap that would get me on the road. But I forgot I have a mopar. (Did you know people want 4 figures for 360 and 361s now? Dont even bother looking up 340s or440s and a HEMI?! Dont even bother unless you have 10k for a motor) So I found a running 383 out of a 67 fury for the low price of a grand picked it up and got a big block back in. Interior is all original besides the street signs drilled into the floor and the missing carpet and headliner. The dash is cracked to bits but that's going to be fixed hopefully when my fiberglass comes in next week...dang covid everything takes forever to ship. Currently sitting on new 14" ralye wheels and tires with about 2 lugs holding each wheel on. The front disk brake kit comes next week and then it might be road worthy. It will hopefully have its first drive within a month and I am so stoked. I know I probly wont win but I just wanted to talk about my car its something I've wanted since a kid and the build has taken me about 2 years already. I just cant wait to drive it everyday
