Build story

Whats crack-a-lackin my guy? This is my 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat supercab, 300ci with a stick. The paint, interior, drivetrain is all original. I call it the brown truck, for very obvious reasons. I bought it for $2,995 from the original owner who only put 90,000 miles on it. He parked it in 2003 when he got a new truck and never got around to touching it until 2018 when I bought it from him. I bought it to teach myself manual then i planned on selling it, but it turned out to be way to loyal to sell...and i like it too much to part with it. I want this truck to say in my family for the rest of my life, and I hope after I'm no longer around. So the truck accidentally because my first, and my only, project vehicle. Because it has all the lack of safety that makes driving fun and all the old vehicle..dare I say..“quirks and features” that I want in a classic vehicle. My truck lived its whole life in Texas, that being said there is absolutely no rust anywhere on it. All it needed to fire up again was a battery, fresh gas, and a starter. I have done all the repairs myself on it, I replaced every engine seal, alternator, starter solenoid, distributor cap and rotor, plug wires, coil, spark plugs radiator, thermostat, water pump, fuel injectors, MAP sensor, fuel pumps, fuel pump selector valve,100%of the brake system is new, New headlights and taillights , new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, slave cylinder, power steering lines and pump, steering box, repainted the bed, tinded the windows, and window motors and regulators. And everything that is “Fixed” is a leaking transmission that I add 1/2 a quart of fluid to once every month, a collapsed driver side that I “rebuilt” with foam, super glued on shift knob/wiper and headlight switch/rewind button on the radio, flex sealed around rear window to stop the rain from coming in, zipties hold the starter wire off the oil pan, and various other wires that needed help finding a home, a mystery line that broke and I capped off 2 years ago and hasn’t damaged anything....I think, and i took that stupid chrome tailgate bullshit plate and painted the 'FORD' black and plugged the holes with plastic push plugs and got paint that is almost the factree color to properly blend it. The Ford 300 hasn’t been rebuilt, and it doesn't burn any oil. she runs like a dream. The Mazda M5OD-R2 trans and the Ford 8.8 rear diff also have not been replaced or rebuilt. Most call it Minty, i call it legit mint. \r
Thanks for looking at my truck, have fun looking over the other 956,362,542 submissions . I'm sure you just can't wait to do so.
