Removed family of squirrels from interior, reinforced the windshield with packing tape, robbed the 318/727 from a perfectly fine running car to drop into this pile...

Build story

The Charger was purchased in late fall 2018 from a local dog musher who intended to turn it into a dirt track car. $1000 purchase price. Picked it up during the first snowfall of the season so dragging it up the small cliff was fun. Then after inspecting what was actually there, it sat until spring. The car was originally a deep metal-flake green with a cream vinyl top and interior. Someone at a later date REALLY liked Petty Blue. 318/727 car. Nothing special besides being a really solid '74 Charger. Soon after attempting to start the car it was extremely evident that despite not being seized up, it was not going to be the path to take. So within a 3 day span our local car club plucked the motor/trans from my '73 Satellite, dropped it in the Charger...and we were doing burnouts immediately after cutting and welding the driveshaft. As you do. Painting the number 43 on the doors at 2 AM also seemed completely reasonable. The following weekend we took it out to a car show we were holding, filling the trunk with Hot Wheels cars from the entry fees. It's still running off of a 3 1/2 gallon jug ratchet strapped behind the grille, root bear bottle as an overflow, and yeah...the radiator is just hanging there by another ratchet strap. 30 years of neglect to burnouts in 3 days.
