I guess we'll start at the engine - it isn't much now, but it's got the stock 350 short block with a roller cam conversion, HO 305 heads that were potted and pushed by me, new stainless valves, 1.6 roller rockers, Weiand stealth intake, Edelbrock 600 carb, MSD HEI distributor and 8mm wires, pacesetter Camaro headers, thrust welded mufflers... stock turbo 400 trans, 4.10 gears in the rear 14 bolt... 454/4L80e coming...\r
\r
Lots of body work, replaced all the doors, modified side door, fiberglass fender flares, chin spoiler, rear wing, hood scoop... trans am side marker lights, 1970's tail light modifications, custom spray paint and vinyl graphics... new custom front end is in the works, as well as new/old front doors to help make the van look older than it actually is...\r
\r
Wheels are 15x8 and 15x10, 8 lug, with 2.5" of backspacing, no modifications to the brakes to fit...\r
\r
Interior is built for show and use - I take my kids to shows out of town/out of state, so there's usually 2 to 4 of us who live out of it for a weekend or so at a time... sculpted carpet walls, crushed velvet tufted ceiling and bedroom walls, LED lighting, pallet wood door panels, fridge, TV, 1000 watt power inverter, pine wood floor...

Build story

This is the 6th van I've built, this is my keeper - I always wanted an extended Chevy g van - I did everything on my 'allowance' with a very tight budget, no garage - all the woodwork was done at our old house in the basement, all the upholstery was done by me, paint by me in the driveway, engine work in the driveway... we bought a house and I have a garage now, but it won't fit in it...\r
\r
We live near Buffalo NY but have been to shows in Indiana, Ohio, PA, MA, and Ontario Canada...
