Build story
I have owned this gto since 1990 and the right hand drive conversion was done prior to me purchasing the car but i pretty much had to do it again due to a lot of the welding being done by the work experience kid. Originally done as a brand new import into Australia in 1965, i offer up the steering box mount as the biggus dikkus of all brackets, made out of the finest BHP quarter plate and now 55 years strong ,is a part of Australian musclecar history as all cars imported from the US during this time were required to be right hand drive. the vehicle has undergone a frame off resto and is now quite close to being on the road again. now sporting a 470 cube pontiac engine driving the original 2 speed auto and 10 bolt diff {gulp!} i have spent considerable time updating the honestly outrageous stock suspension geometry into something more reasonable and updating the stock single circuit ,unboosted 4 wheel drum brakes to boosted dual circuit discs. enjoy!
