I bought the truck 3 years ago as a pretty much stock truck, It had the 7.3l IDI and an E4OD. Two years ago I decided to swap in a Cat 3126 and an Allison at545 out of a school bus. There is not much aftermarket support for a swap like this so I had to make all mounts and brackets. It took me just under a year to get the truck running and driving, I spent the next year driving the truck and working on the finishing touches. I put about 3000 miles on the truck since the swap and the only thing that needs to be changed is that at545 transmission so I am currently in the process of swapping out the 4 speed for an MD3060 which will give us more speed and better fuel economy. Most of the parts I used were either eBay or junkyard parts, I have parts from all different makes and models on my truck, if it fit and I m make it work it was the right part for me!
