I was able to buy this car from my dad when I was in my early teens, it had been sitting since the big flood here in centralia Washington in 1996, the water had been all the way inside the car so it definitely did damage, especially when it sat for almost 10 more years after that, I started working on getting the engine un stuck in 2006 and had it driving for the first time in 2007, then as luck would have it, we had another big flood in 07, and this time it completely covered the car, so in early 2008 , I started the process all over again. I got it running again but wound up cracking a few pistons , so I spent from 2008 until 2011 rebuilding the original straight 8 engine and cleaning all signs of a flood out of it. In 2011 I was able to get the car out on the road for the first time since 1995, and I've been slowly working on it ever since while also havin fun getting to drive it around, the old straight 8 still runs like a top, the whole car only has 36000 original miles, I look forward to continuing working on this car, its very special to me, it's a real survivor, been through alot and its still here
