~2003 Silverado front frame with 5” lowering A arms allowing me to run the 16” wheels for a more factory look. \r
~4.8 Ls swap with a lot done to make it look like GM put it there. \r
~ I had to build all the mounts for the front and make everything function like the brakes, steering, shifting linkage etc. \r
~ AlOT of sheetmetal work from rust repair to custom such as the intake box and the radiator cover that looks factree.\r
~Custom 4 link suspension built from 1.5” DOM using coil springs from a 96 caprice wagon. \r
~Relocated the gas tank to the rear of the vehicle and relocated the factory filler out the side to look factree. \r
~ Beefy hidden hitch built behind the flip license plate. \r
~Replaced the ply wood floor with one build from 18ga and matched the body lines that are through the IH. They can be seen on the factree fender wells and floor. Also added a third row of seats for when my family road trips this. \r
~More sheetmetal work with the hidden tool boxes under the middle seat and my center console that will hide the modern radio and ac controls. \r
~Replaced every factree crossmember on this thing because it’s so damn low I had to. \r
~I welded nubs on the Chevy 16” wheels to hold the factree IH caps and the look damn good! Probably my favorite part.

Build story

Meet Edna! This is my family hauler im building. I appreciate you looking at it. Im trying to make it drive alittle more modern but keep a factoryish look to it. She sat on a farm for 20 years. I started tear down on it in November and she’s close to being back on the road! I’m trying to do everything to quality but keep it low buck. I build everything I can to not buy it if possible. I have SEVERAL videos of all the work done along the way on my channel Puddin’s Fab Shop. Thanks for checking out Edna!
