Full frame up build. Custom built air ride with Mustang II front end, wishbone 3 link in rear. Swapped a 351Cleveland in it. Custom digital gauge cluster. Custom interior. Wheel Vintiques 16" wheels.
Build story
My Dad got this truck when I was a kid and later on let me have it. I began by putting a mustang ii front suspension under it. Several years later I tore it down and boxed the frame, replaced all crossmembers with tubing,hand built rear suspension from scratch. I C-notched the frame turned all the bar ends for link setup. Done all the welding and fabrication myself. Read several chassis engineering books to set it up properly. The interior has a seat from a later model Chevy. Found some plaid fabric and had a local shop stitch it up for me. I painted the interior with a summit racing 2 stage metallic blue paint. Built my own custom digital gauge setup. Installed all new wiring harness. The engine is a 351C out of a mustang. Has electric fuel pump, electric fan, aluminum radiator. Has power steering, power 4 wheel disc brakes. The rear disc kit was for a different rear end but got it cheap off Ebay so my dad helped me and we machined the hub assembly and re-drilled bolt pattern. Now has small ford pattern in rear to match front mustang setup. The patina of one of the fenders and bed is real and I tried to match the rest. I did shave the gas filler hole on cab and the cab seam before painting.
