Build story
This is a 1972 XY Ford Falcon 4x4 Ute. There were 48,000 of these body styles made in a ute and only 432 were made with 4x4 running gear.\r
Back when I was a kid my father had one these. He had changed it from a ute into a wagon so it was more family friendly.\r
My father wanted another one about 2 years ago and when he bought one for himself he also bought this one for my brother and I to enjoy.\r
It isn't road registered and has been off the road longer than it was on the road! The plan is to get a non 4x4 body and swap the 4x4 driveline into it so it can be enjoyed once again.\r
When we first got the old girl 2 years ago I spent time getting it running and driving. clogged radiator and cooling system, seized brake and clutch system, seized and blocked carburettor but I spent the time and got it running. It has been sitting in the tree line ever since.\r
Check out the attached YouTube video I have especially made where I get it running again (factory original starter motor, not like those Chevy starter motors!) and drive it around.
