Build story

This build started with a free 84’ ford bronco and a free 95’ Taurus GL and a love for mega trucks and off-roading rigs. The engine is a ford 351 Windsor bored 30 over with a fully fitted Edelbrock top end and a HEI ignition system. This build started 3-4 years ago in the grandparents back yard. My self my son and my grandfather took on the task of making two vehicles into one. We started my stripping the body and old parts from the bronco and moved on to the Taurus. We built a 14 foot tall wooden A frame to lift the Taurus body after it had been stripped then proceeded to make the brackets at 20” and 24” tall to set the Taurus body on the bronco frame. During this time it is the dead of winter and we’re outside working with steel in the snow. The build took us 6 months from the start of the build to the finish. But then came the hard parts of the build the steering, electrical, and brakes. We had a deadline to finish the build for the first off-roading event at Dirty Turtle off-road park in 4-17-16 and drove the rig to the park to enter it into its first mud bog.
