Build story
I bought this truck a couple of years ago for $800. I bought it from my Uncle, who bought it from his son-and-laws family. The 4l60e was like every other 4l60e in the universe - completely broken. Me and my father rebuilt the transmission and repainted most of the rust spots. It was a pretty clean truck before, but its even better now. Shortly after I finished the tranny, the entire ignition system went out and you could see the timing walk off 20 degrees in about 10 seconds. I scared the life out of people at the gas station because it was spitting flames and sounded like gunshots. I even watched one lady jump for cover :). I use it as a daily driver in the summer, and I overload the life out of it when I haul scrap. I would love to swap the 305 for something bigger, but that will be some day down the road. I am extremely proud to own this gas guzzler. It has stayed in the family since it was purchased, and it will stay in the family until the day she finally dies.
