Build story
This is my 1966 Dodge Polara Sedan. I bought it in early March. I am 20 years old with not a ton of money, but I wanted a classic car. With the land yachts still in the affordable range, I was able to pick this up. I love big cars and I love Mopars. She's got a 383 two barrel and a 727 TorqFlite transmission that I just had rebuilt. It had a cracked valve body and it slipped a lot. Works great now. Has new tires, new fuel system, new plug wires, plugs, cap and rotor, oil and filter, valve cover gaskets, headlights, just a ton of new parts that I have gotten in the car. I did not expect to have this much time to work on this car, since I am in college full time, so the Quarantine did help in that way. The Polara has its original CertiCard in it, it was originally from my county which is kind of cool. Has an old GE Transportation parking sticker on the mirror as well as a boat compass on the dash. Has an aftermarket AC unit from Mark IV and an 8 track radio. Both function well. The car is very solid and has minimal rust. Underside of the car is great. It was ziebarted, and has the yellow plugs to prove it. I plan on finding a magnetic Dragnet style police light for it for taking to shows, as the car always gets comments about looking like a police car. I love this car and I plan to keep it. I love the styling of it and the ride quality. It is a very fun ride. Has manual drum brakes and power steering, with a 323 SureGrip rear end. It is a pretty gutsy car, but I am not going to do any burnouts with it...yet. Thanks for viewing my car and God Bless.
