1953 Ford F100 resto-mod. It has a few modifications such as engine swap from flathead to Ford 302, swapped transmission to 5 speed TKO 600. moved shifter from column to floor. brake and clutch pedal moved to firewall instead of going thru floor. fuel tank moved behind rear axle.
Build story
This is a 1953 Ford F100 resto mod. When I bought it, it was rusted out and headed to the salvage yard. It was a 3 year restoration. The truck required almost a complete rebuild with many hours spent of metal work, body work and painting. Many new parts added. New doors, running boards, new brake and clutch master cylinders, new wiring, gauges, upgraded from 6 to 12 volts, all new springs, rebuild of steering gear box, new glass, new fuel tank being moved behind rear axle, most of floor metal and back of cab was replaced, bottom half of A pillars was rotted away and needed replaced. Overall, this was a fun project that I did mostly myself except for when I needed an extra set of hands which was provided by my wife and kids. I get many compliments when I drive the truck. It is certainly something that I get to enjoy with my family.
