My most hated ZF-6 7.3 (no) Powerstroke pulling the car. Sold an awesome 2G Cummins to have a manual transmission. Could not wait to sell this truck.

Build story

I bought the car in 2012 with a blown up 302, It was built as drag car so it had a lot of nice parts with the purchase. Fordstrokers built and balanced the shortblock before the Motor was shipped to Germany. When I ordered the motor, I had the plan of running E-85 so I requested high compression- 13:1. I wanted to feel the thump in the chest when it idled. The motor should have been able to withstand anything I’d ever throw at it- a 200 shot of nitrous. Two years it took to get the assembly. Inside those two years, the E-85 availability disappeared. The overtime at work also went away, with that the funding for the car. I have an AEM plug and Play standalone for the car, unfortunately not much help with the tuning. It really could use some bigger heads to lower the compression and ease the tuning. AFR 225‘s are on the wish list.\r
The build was intended to be a 10.30 to 10.50 1/4 miler, fast (enough), reliable and fun. I love the car and want to see the project through, but like life it needs some more capital and time to get done.
