Nothing crazy, ignition timing advanced a few degrees, BBK shorty headers, flowmaster cat back exhaust. Custom rust hole in drivers side floor pan for optimum cooling while wearing shorts in the summer. (If you get my drift)

Build story

I bought this truck back 2010 from the Chrysler dealership in Winona, MN a couple months after I got out of the army. I had huge plans of turning it into a dedicated off road/mud truck, even bought a Dana 44 front axle out of a 79 F150 to swap in. But as time went by I realized that it is kind of a relic of a by gone era. It has factory delete AC, manual windows and locks, and no headliner and vinyl floors, manual trans and manual 4x4. They just don’t make em like that anymore. It is a 5.0 V8 with the borg Warner T-18 granny gear 4 speed. I mainly use it to tow my boat in the summer, I always toy with the idea of swapping in a worked over 351 Windsor, 460, or even the new 7.3 gas v8. But every time I hop in and take it for a spin I always just think, it’s great the way she is. It came with the blue flame job when I bought it, I used to get clowned for it all the time and was planning on changing it eventually but it just became the soul of the truck after awhile.
