This is my 1978 Chevrolet Nova, its my first project car. It was a factory 250ci 1bbl carb engine, and is a hatchback with vinyl top. The engine currently in it is a 350 Small block out of a truck most likely, and is paired with a Th350 3 speed auto. 10 bolt lsd with line lock. Engine has been slightly built with a Edelbrock Performer 1406 4bbl carb, Weiand intake. Converted from points to Hei ignition, Its had a mechanical fan and shroud delete, which in its place is 2 dual 11 inch electric fans mated with a 4 core aluminum radiator. A set of modified Powerpack heads. It has long tube headers, which connects to a 3 inch side dump, straight pipe setup that is put right behind the rear doors (Neighbors Love it). It also has a comp cam 280h magnum cam, and the previous owner said the engine has been bored and stroked and had valve train work as well. Engine is said to be in the 325-350hp region

Build story

I got the car after working all summer fixing and selling Lawnmowers, Go karts, Minibikes, and stuff like that. I bought it just a few months ago from a guy in the Wisconsin Dells area. He didnt have a whole lot of interest in the car and sold it to me. The car sat in the guys garage for a few years where he didnt work on it or do anything to get it drivable. Ive put a-lot of work getting the fans hooked up, radiator mounted, and getting the engine running as best as it can for now. It does have a little bit of Wisconsin weight reduction, the rear inner wheel wells have holes, trunk pan area underneath the car is crusty, it does have ankle vents but it’s covered up by faded and stinky carpet, and I cant imagine whats under the vinyl top. However it does still have rockers and decent front fenders, the frame is minty too.
