Build story
This is my 1978 F-250. For my 17th birthday in 2019, I asked my grandma for my late grandpas old farm truck. This F-250 built my family farm, which was started by my grandparents in 1985, and this truck was there to work all the way until my grandpas death in 2006. It then sat until I pulled it out of its grave in 2019. It was in a sorry state. A tree had fallen on the truck and destroyed the passenger door. Motor was locked up, full of water. The carburetor was total junk. And the 4x4 system was seized. My father and I got the gallons of water drained out of the motor, freed it up relatively easy, and a threw a brand new carburetor on it. What would you know, it ran like it was never parked, and drove too. Ive been using the truck for light duty work around the property ever since. (Only light duty as the bed is nonexistent) Its a great homage to my grandfather, who worked harder than I can imagine to give his family a good life.
