Build story

I started this build in 2017 with my father. I wanted something that would never go unnoticed. I wanted all the attention in the parking lot. I wanted a classic street machine vibe for the car; which meant big fat tires, roll cage, and a crazy rake even though it makes maybe 375-400hp. The cage is totally unnecessary, but you can’t have a race car without a roll cage. My father has always wanted a set of Hoosier slicks, so when the opportunity came up I had to jump on it. I moved the springs in and cut up the tubs to squeeze a 29.5/10.5-15 drag slick under the little car. The pictures do not show how insane these slicks are under such a small car. Since I had to cut up the tubs and install a cage that meant no more backseat and most of the interior panels for the rear no longer fit. So, I had to build my own rear panels out of aluminum sheeting to keep the weight down. It will never be a finished car, but I don’t want it to ever be a finished car. Getting to build it with my father just made the car all the more special. We have plans this summer of taking it to the strip end getting some time slips.
