Build story
Bought as a non-runner garaged for 20 years. Got it running, found out it had a camshaft bearing installed wrong on the engine rebuild done right before garaging it 20 years ago. I drilled a hole in the camshaft bearing instead of removing and replacing it (oil passage to cylinder head was facing the wrong way). Then reassembled the engine. Rebuilt the carb, front brakes were seized so those got redone, new tires, cut out the sagged front coil springs and put in leveling springs to go with the 2” lift blocks that were already in the back. De-molded and decontaminated the interior, put a passenger grab handle from a Buick road master in it, removed the failed air/emissions pump. Rewired the choke relay, new alternator and voltage regulator, tune up, and pulled one big dent and repainted the drivers front fender. Still working on it but it’s a running and driving (sometimes) project.
