Mods
2jz gte vvti swap, borg Warner s300sx, tial 54mm wastegate, tial Q bov, Trust fmic, blitz exhaust, coilovers, polyurethane bushings, ls400 brakes with upgraded pads coupled with vented and slotted rotors. Turbosmart eboost2, black interior swap, z33 35 AE wheels. Minor exterior changes from stock. Brake booster and master cylinder from a Toyota Avalon due to factory unit being junk and overpriced.
Build story
This whole swap came about because the brake booster/master system from factory was bad. So I replaced it and bypassed the abs, trc, and vsc in the process. This caused the ecu to not recognize the key(due to abs computer not talking anymore) Instead of reprogramming I decided to swap the engine and ecu in one shot(Gte vvti ecu has no immobalizer). The swap only required one wire and was plug n play. The swap and supporting mods were all done on a budget of $8000usd. This chassis was my choice of the Toyota family because it offers four doors, and lots of space for people, pets, and parts. A sleeper four door supra! The single turbo and parts needed to keep it functioning nicely are where much of the budget was spent but well worth the education that has gone along with it. I believe the car is making somewhere between 350-410hp but not sure as it hasn’t seen a dyno. I do need to change the rear end so that highway speed does not wind out the rpms as bad. Always something to change.
