Build story

I grew up with a dad who always fixed every vehicle we ever had. He was a RN up until retirement just a few years ago but taught me everything. Shade tree mechanic at its finest. He taught me to work out problems, always use a Haynes bible and just get in there and get your hands dirty. So I did 99% of the work in my garage and driveway with my own tools and some help sometimes from friends. I would save every month just to have a few bucks left for car parts. Its been fun and its a great stress reliever after a day at a 911 center where I work. I have done 95% of the work myself but by far the most frustrating thing was pulling the old distributor out and hearing the clank into the oil pan. The oil pump rod fell and fishing that out from under a car when you cant drop the pan is insanely intense. Used 3 different extendable and bendable magnets and 2 hours later, I didnt have to pull the engine or raise it up, got the oil pump shaft out all while laying on the ground. Also rebuilt the drum brakes so in the words of VGG, they will be fine. And I grew up in Australia, moved here in 1987 and my dogs name is Roo, so presenting, The Roostang
