Everything else is OEM or OEM+ for example the brakes are from an Audi TT (bought second hand and fully refurbished myself.... wherever possible I have taken parts back to bare metal and repainted. this includes things like the alternator which I stripped to its bare components, replaced bearings and painted the casing.

Inner wings have been taken back (where needed) to bare metal, prepped and repainted to keep rust at bay, I have also fabricated repair parts for the front impact bar and radiator panel.

Full engine rebuild due to timing chain snapping, new gaskets all around, new rings/bottom end, bores honed, valves replaced and lapped in. block descaled and painted etc.

The interior has been stripped out, heater matrix has been refurbished and reinstalled, all wiring under the dash has been cleaned and wrapped in cloth tape before a deep clean of all upholstry and reinstall of seats.

Build story

The best way to understand the project is to see the instagram page - https://www.instagram.com/sterrado_vr6/

I’m also hoping to start my own YouTube channel soon, the promo vid/intro is online already - watch this space ;)

I am a Dad of 2 under two so I am attempting to rebuild my Corrado on a minimal budget with limited spare time (hence why its still ongoing)...

I have a budget of £30 a month and 30 mins a day to get as much done as possible, I am restoring every part that is savable and have taught myself lots of techniques/skills in the process... this is my first ever restoration project.

The car has been in my possesion since 2011 when I was given the car as a shell, I got it running and on the road in 2013 but it was very unreliable and really needed overhauling so it went into hibernation from 2015. I started rebuilding it this time in May 2020 during the first lockdown. Hoping to drive it again by the end of 2021... wish me luck!

The car itself is an Aquablue Pearl 1992 VR6, its been a car I wanted from before I could even drive and I cant see me ever selling it! Hope you like it.
