I painted the tire letters, converted it from 6 to 12 volt and just cleaned her up. She’s a driver.
Build story
My uncle bought the truck out in Minot, ND back in the 97. He always stored it in our shed and never did anything with it so I asked him about it and he gave it to me when I was about 14 years old. This is technically my first truck and my first vehicle I learned to drive. When I was about 4 years old my dad would put it in 1st gear and let it idle around the yard as I steered it. She’s all original. It has the factory SD 220 inline 6 with the heavy duty non syncro 4spd. She burns more oil then fuel. The only thing I’ve had to replace on the motor was a fuel pump and the accelerator pump. All the gauges work except the speedometer/ odometer (which stopped at 89,345 but someone scratched a 1 in front so 189345) Its a lot of fun double clutching. This was my daily driver my senior year of high school during summer months. Currently getting ready to rebuild the motor. I plan on restoring the frame and engine but leaving the body of truck exactly how it is.
